Malaysia Discovery
7 Days – Penang, Cameron Highlands & Kuala Lumpur
Bali Essentials – 7 Days (Ubud to East Bali)

Three distinct slices of Malaysia in one smooth arc: Penang’s flavor-packed streets and layered heritage, the cool tea country of the Cameron Highlands, and Kuala Lumpur’s mix of mosques, markets, and a skyline that lights up the night. We keep things moderate and well-timed—private transfers, crowd-savvy guides, and space for café stops, night markets, and viewpoints.
Penang sets the tone: Chinese clan houses, Indian temples, Malay kampungs, Peranakan mansions—and hawker stalls turning out world-class food. Up in the Highlands, the air cools and the pace slows—fern forests, tea ridgelines, and misty mornings. KL closes the loop with big-city energy: historic squares, neighborhood eats, and limestone caves just beyond the edge of town. It’s a compact trip with real variety—culture, cuisine, and easy nature.

ITINERARY DETAILS
Day 1 — Arrive Penang (George Town)
Meet & greet and check-in at your heritage stay. Evening hawker-center tasting—char kway teow, nasi kandar, laksa, and fresh sugarcane or teh tarik. We’ll keep it light and local.
Day 2 — Heritage & Street Art
Walk George Town’s UNESCO core: shophouses, clan jetties, hidden courtyards, and street art alleys. Step inside a Peranakan mansion to connect the dots on Straits Chinese culture, then browse a spice boutique for blends to take home. Optional afternoon cooking class focused on Nyonya or Malay staples.
Day 3 — Hill Railway & Food Trails
Ride the funicular to Penang Hill for island views and easy forest paths among giant ferns. Back in town, an evening food crawl threads through wet markets and kopitiams—satay, roti, cendol—plus a stop at a traditional biscuit shop.
Day 4 — Cameron Highlands
Drive into tea country, climbing through forested hills. Check in and settle into cool air. Visit a tea estate for a tasting and a gentle plantation walk along green ridgelines as the light softens.
Day 5 — Mossy Forest & Trails → Kuala Lumpur
Boardwalks and short trails in the Mossy Forest (weather-dependent): cloud-forest flora, orchids, and pitcher plants. Quick stop at a strawberry or flower farm, then descend to Kuala Lumpur. Evening is yours—night market or a relaxed rooftop view.
Day 6 — Kuala Lumpur Icons
Begin at Merdeka Square and nearby heritage streets, then step into a mosque or temple for living culture. Swing by the KLCC area for modern architecture and park views. In the afternoon, head to Batu Caves—rain-sculpted limestone, colorful steps, and a cave temple tucked under soaring vaults.
Day 7 — Depart
Private transfer to the airport. If time allows, we can add one last neighborhood food stop or a quick gallery.
Make It Yours (Optional Add-Ons)
Personalize your route with a Peranakan or Malay cooking class in Penang, a guided street-art photo walk, or a durian farm visit in season (roughly May–Aug). Add a longer tea-estate hike in the Highlands or a farm-to-table dinner. From KL, consider an evening boat to see fireflies among the mangroves in Kuala Selangor, a heritage day in Melaka (UNESCO), or a batik or pewter workshop. Prefer a slower pace? Build in a free afternoon at a Penang heritage hotel, swap Batu Caves for a neighborhood food tour, or add an extra night in the Highlands for cooler mornings and misty trails.
