Rett grew up in North Carolina, spending his youth hiking, camping, kayaking, and exploring the outdoors. His passion for travel ignited at 16 during a tour to Vietnam with his father, a trip for returning American veterans that sparked a lasting connection to the region.
With a Bachelor’s in Recreation Management from Appalachian State and a Master’s from the University of Alcalá in Spain, Rett spent seven years living in Vietnam. He worked in tourism and education, developing outdoor experiential programs that took him through remote mountain trails, hidden canyons, and secluded beaches. Between his time in Vietnam, he also lived in Hong Kong, leading adventure programs focused on team development, climbing, and paddling.
Drawing from his experience managing logistics, group travel, and risk assessment across Vietnam, Hong Kong, and the USA, Rett brings a wealth of knowledge to Latitude Journeys. He designs immersive trips that connect travelers to the authentic landscapes, cultures, and hidden experiences of Southeast Asia.
